File and folder backup |
Applies to: Standard, Professional and Server Editions of Macrium Reflect only. |
'File and folder backup' allows you to specify individual files and folders to be backed up. This is particularly useful if you only wish to backup important documents, photos, music and videos.
In order to backup files and folders follow steps below:
Use the 'Add folder' link to add as many folders as you like. This dialog gives you the option to specify which types of files you wish to add or exclude from the backup.
In the Destination section, you may choose where the backup image is to be written.
Select a folder for the image to be written to - in this case E: drive
Select a number of write locations using the Alternative Locations link. This is useful if you wish to cycle external hard drives which may have pre-allocated drive letters that differ.
Or select the 'CD/DVD Burner' option if you wish to burn an image of your system onto CD or DVD.
The 'Backup Filename' should normally be left as the default
Image ID but you can change this if you wish.
Note: Non-unique file names will be automatically appended with
a sequence number to avoid name collisions.
