Master Boot Record

Each Image backup includes a copy of the Master Boot Record.  The Master Boot Record is a small program on the hard drive which is executed when the computer starts.  This can become corrupt, perhaps due to a virus, which can cause issues when trying to boot the computer.

Do not replace

Specify to not restore the Master Boot Record and keep the existing one in place.

Replace from backup

Specify to replace the Master Boot Record on the target disk with the one contained in the Macrium Reflect image.
