Rescue Media Wizard - Custom

By selecting the custom rescue CD option, it is necessary to download the Windows Automated Installation Kit. In order to make this as simple as possible, Macrium Reflect negotiates all the downloading and configuration for you automatically. All that is required is for a few settings to be selected, giving you maximum control over the procedure.

Download

Provide a location for Macrium Reflect to copy the WAIK image once it has been downloaded from Microsoft

Or, if you already have the iso image from a previous download, enter it below

Install

It is possible to install just the components required by Macrium Reflect, or run the entire installer if you which to use other parts of it independently.

You can also select if you would like to delete the .iso image once installation is complete

Build

You are now able to select if Macrium Reflect is to be added to the  installation - it is advised that this is always defaulted to 'Selected'

You should also specify the base architecture that this will be used for the target of this

You can also specify a default WIM (Windows Image) which contains all the Macrium files required to enable you to restore your backed up images, or you can specify your own customized WIM.

 


Continue:

This will either download and install or install the WAIK depending if download was selected. Follow the steps during the WAIK installation progress. Once this is complete, the Macrium WAK is downloaded and Reflect combines the two.
