Manage Disk Space |
Applies to: Standard, Professional and Server Editions of Macrium Reflect only. |
Either before or after a backup, Macrium Reflect can automatically remove old backups to free drive space for later backups using the following mechanisms:
Delete full backups and their associated Incremental or Differentials backups older than a stated number of days or weeks.
Keep a maximum number of full backups and their associated Incremental or Differential backups, removing excess backups just before or just after the next full backup.
The current backup set (the one you are creating or incrementing) is never purged.
When a full backup is deleted, any linked incremental or differential backups are also deleted.
Backup sets are purged on a per-directory basis.
File deletions are logged in the log window.
On the Backup Definition tab, select a backup definition file and click the edit button
