Image Local Drives |
The 'Disk image' dialog allows you to create a backup of some or all partitions and disks.
In order to image drives and partitions:
Select the disks and partitions you want to image.
A single
image file can contain multiple partitions from one or many disks.
Note: in this example, all partitions have been selected.
In the Destination section, choose where the image file is to be written.
Select a folder for the image to be written to - in this case \\backup-drive\system drive
Select a number of write locations using the Alternative Locations link. This is useful if you wish to cycle external hard drives which may have pre-allocated drive letters that differ.
Or select the CD/DVD option if you wish to burn an image of your system onto CD or DVD.
We recommend that the 'Backup
Filename' should
be left as the default Image ID but you can change this if you wish.
Note: Non-unique file names will be automatically appended with
a sequence number to avoid name collisions.
